Scientific research workshop: Applications of technological process and probiotics in shrimp aquaculture and organic production

(TVU)- On October 26, 2017, Tra Vinh University held the scientific research workshop “Applications of technological process and probiotics in shrimp aquaculture and organic production” with the coordination of Department of Tra Vinh Provincial Science and Technology, and Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

The workshop attracted over 200 participants being scientists, representatives of enterprises and departments of Science and Technology in the Mekong Delta region, households and students in specialized fields.

  

The key themes related to agriculture and aquaculture included application of models and probiotics in shrimp aquaculture, organic agricultural production, seed handling, water quality increase and environmental protection.

 

Mr. Dong Van Lam, Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee said: “The province’s leaders will partner scientists and offer favourable conditions in all aspects towards the simultaneous and modern development in scientific and technological field.”

 

“Sustainability-driven shrimp raising is able to meet the current demand without causing potentially negative impacts on the next generation, contributing to economic efficiency, equal society and environmental protection.”, said Mr. Vo Dong Duc, Institute of Chemical Technology.

   

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Cong, Vice-President of the Academy of Science and Technology said: “This workshop offers us opportunity for coming up with solutions and effective applications of models into production practice.”
