Final Round of Student Entrepreneurship Initiative Competition 2017

(TVU) - On November 16, 2017, eight start-up initiatives with high feasibility by Tra Vinh University alumni were awarded in the final round of Student Entrepreneurship Initiative Competition which was held at Tra Vinh University.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of Start-up Center, Tra Vinh University said: “The competition of the Student Entrepreneurship Initiative 2017 has been taking place during 04 months with the entries of over 40 ideas, out of which 08 excellent projects are selected for the final round.”

 

Author Nguyen Hien Dat with the project “Coffee shop and traditional tourism cuisine of Khmer Southern culture” won the first prize, followed by the second prize of authors Thach Huynh Thaone and Ngo Hoang Phuc with the project "Production of Khmer traditional handicrafts associated with development of souvenir products of Tra Vinh", and the third prize by Le Tan Phat with the project "Vegan chicken raising model", all which were highly evaluated from the Board.

 

Dr. Pham Kim Long, Head of the Review Board highly appreciated the start-up initiatives of the authors. He said that all these feasible projects will be considered for fund supports in the next phase.

 

The competition showed students’ keenness of scientific research, offering a playground for developing their creative ability, which prepared them with business initiatives after graduation.
