  Coming back for its 14th year in Tra Vinh University, the School of Foreign Languages will present its annual Get-Together Music Show at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 14, in Agriculture Open Stage on the Campus One.   The Show promises exciting for every kind of music lover. This time, SFL has created a unique line-up of more than three dozen performers from its students and lecturers coming from North America, Philippines, Taiwan, France, and Korea.   Get-Together has long been the most favorite musical variety show shared by students, alumni, and the greater Tra Vinh University community.   The 2017 will feature rock & roll, blues, dancing, mash-up, contemporary folk music, and student-designed costumes, all are based upon this year’s central theme imagine THE WORLD.   The Cinderella music/lyrics in a completely original script, and Michael Jackson’s We Are The World will highlight the night and surely will charm their way into your heart.   Also featured at this year’s show are music and lyrics in French and Mandarin, in addition to English which is the only language used during the night.   This music event is free, and the public is invited to attend. (TVU) – On October 19 and 20, 2017, Tra Vinh University and Tra Vinh Provincial Women’s Association offer free cancer detection and diagnosis to Tra Vinh women on the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20.   There will be 200 poor women at age of 45 received the free cancer detection and diagnosis at TVU Clinic Center. (TVU)- On September 27, 2017, Tra Vinh University is solemnly holding the opening ceremony for new academic year 2017-2018 with the participation of over 1,500 freshmen, their parents, TVU faculty, and representatives from the province and enterprises.     Toward creating a healthy environment for students, a variety of events will be organized on the campus including music performance, academic exchange and learning consultancy between alumni and new students, especially the exciting contests with various themes such as “Landscaping Design” and “Student Start-up Initiatives.”    On behalf of domestic and international sponsors, Tra Vinh University will offer over 100 scholarships to its students to help them overcome their financial difficulties.     This academic year is a new stage for freshmen as they will experience in a new learning environment.      Up to 2017, Tra Vinh University offers 03 Ph.D. training programs, 15 Master’s degree training programs, 41 undergraduate programs and 26 advanced diploma programs.      BY MINH NHUT
