Bilingual dictionary project validated

(TVU)- October 26, 2017, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Bui Van Ga - Chairman of the Project Validation Committee of Viet-Khmer, Khmer-Viet bilingual dictionary presided the project evaluation meeting.

Viet-Khmer, Khmer-Viet bilingual dictionary compilation project is a scientific work carried out by Tra Vinh University under the overall management of the Vietnamese government.  This project has also received the massive supports from Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport in Cambodia in the dictionary consultancy and editing.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Sy Tuan- member of the project validation committee said: “In addition to the valuable consultancy from experts, the project has been undertaken scientifically on the basis of empirical research, achieving the standard of a modern dictionary.”   

 

The Deputy Minister highly evaluated the intensive work of this bilingual dictionary compilation team, attaining the set objective and meeting the demand of learners, especially students and community. This compilation work was conducted based on the modern method ensuring both quality and quantity of a bilingual compilation project, especially this dictionary completed in the event of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations.

On October 18, over 200 TVU students attended the seminar on women’s qualities according to industrialization and modernization held by Tra Vinh Provincial Women’s Association, Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union and Tra Vinh University in TVU main campus.

Free Cancer Detection for Women in Tra Vinh province
On October 19 and 20, 2017, Tra Vinh University and Tra Vinh Provincial Women’s Association offered free cancer detection and diagnosis to 200 women
in their 40s at TVU Clinic Center.

Associ. Prof. Dr. Tram Thi Xuan Huong, Deputy Dean of UEH School of Banking, the workshop’s chairwoman, emphasized necessary solutions to the development of the microfinance model in order to support the poor in Tra Vinh province.

 

“The workshop aims at evaluating the financial situation in Tra Vinh province in order to establish appropriate solutions towards this model, one of the important strategies to sustainable poverty escape”, said Associ. Prof. Dr. Tram Thi Xuan Huong.

In his presentation, Mr. Tu Minh Dien, Head of Social Protection Division of Tra Vinh Provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs presented the results of the survey on the status, causes and needs of the poor households and sustainable poverty reduction solutions for the period 2017-2018.

 

Vice Rector Thach Thi Dan said: “This workshop is considered as scientific forum to gather scientists and researchers of the two universities as well as interested individuals towards finding supportive and innovative solutions to the poor in Tra Vinh province in near future”.

(TVU) – On October 18, over 200 TVU students attended the seminar on women’s qualities according to industrialization and modernization held by Tra Vinh Provincial Women’s Association, Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union and Tra Vinh University (TVU) in TVU main campus. Vice Rector Thach Thi Dan was one of the three knowledgeable speakers in the seminar.

This seminar was a great opportunity for TVU students to talk with the three friendly speakers including TVU Vice Rector Thach Thi Dan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi, Vice- Chairwoman of Tra Vinh Provincial Women’s Association and Mr. Lam Huu Phuc, Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union on women’s qualities according to industrialization and modernization.

 Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi emphasized the role of the Vietnamese women in the process of industrialization and modernization. She affirmed that self-confidence plays a very important role in their success.   

  

“Women, especially female students should strive to pursue their studies to enhance their professional skills and knowledge, make a work-life balance and know how to stay their health”, said Mr. Lam Huu Phuc.

 

On the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20, Vice Rector Thach Thi Dan sent her best wishes for good health, happiness and success to all TVU female staff and students.

(TVU)- After launching the program “Potential Internship 2017 – 2018” in August 2017, on October 13, 2017, an intern recruitment fair held by Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Tra Vinh Sacombank attracted over 200 students. TVU Vice Rector Thach Thi Dan and Ms. Ha Thi My Giau, Vice Director of Tra Vinh Sacombank participated in this intern recruitment fair.

“The recruitment fair offers TVU students great opportunity to practice in a good environment as Sacombank and this promotes employment opportunity after graduation”, said TVU Vice Rector.

 

Ms. Ha Thi My Giau, Sacombank Vice Director expressed her gratitude to TVU Rector Board for providing a great source of excellent students through popularizing and holding this co-operative program.

On October 9 and 10, 2017, the congress of 10th Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, term 2017 – 2022 took place in Tra Vinh Provincial Convention Center successfully. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Central Secretary of Youth Union and Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong, Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee participated in the congress.

Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, term 2012-2017 paid much attention to Tra Vinh youth’s employment as well as their research and initiatives. And it contributed to the social and economic development.

 

 Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan offered 15 medals and 19 certificates of merit to teams and individuals for their wonderful contribution to youth affairs. And Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee also gave 14 certificates of merit to excellent teams for last economic development models.

 

The new Executive Board of term 2017-2022 consists of 39 members. Ms. Huynh Thi Hang Nga is reelected as a secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union.  

 

With the new term, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong hope Youth Unions in Tra Vinh need to create more initiatives to catch integration trend.

TVU students with Energy Saving Contest

 

(TVU) – On October 12, 2017, the Energy Saving Contest held by Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Tra Vinh Industry and Trade Department in TVU main campus attracted over 200 students. Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Director of Tra Vinh Industry and Trade Department participated in the contest.

The contest was so lively and impressive with the four steps including introduction, “great minds, think alike”, question-answering, and play-performing regarding energy saving. As a result, the first, the second and the third prize have been given to Student Association of Cau Ngang district, Student Association of Tieu Can and Blood Donors Club respectively.

 

 

At the opening speech, Director Tran Quoc Tuan said: “We are lucky to be provided enough power to use in our production and daily life while many households in remote areas have no electricity to utilize. Namely, there are 3,400 households in Tra Vinh living without power. Through this contest, with your creativity and talent, I hope you can send a meaningful message towards power saving to everyone”.

 

 

“Power saving is to save finance for every family, our message”, said student Thach Phat.
