TVU – On the afternoon of March 20, Tra Vinh University held a formal reception and meeting with a delegation from Samar State University, Philippines. The delegation was led by Dr. Redentor S. Palencia, President, and Dr. Elmer A. Irene, Head of the International Cooperation Department.
Representing Tra Vinh University at the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector, and leaders from various faculties, departments, and institutes.
During the meeting, both sides discussed and exchanged ideas on cooperation initiatives, particularly focusing on student exchange programs and developing an international online learning network. This marks an important step in expanding Tra Vinh University’s international collaboration, providing students with opportunities to experience an international learning environment and enhance the quality of education. The two universities agreed to establish a student exchange program, allowing students from both institutions to study and experience an internationalized environment.
Additionally, both universities will develop an online learning network, connecting students and faculty members to create a dynamic, multicultural learning atmosphere. Moreover, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, and other representatives discussed specific cooperation opportunities in research, joint training programs, and shared experiences in intellectual property protection and registration.
According to the plan, 8 students and graduate students from Samar State University will visit Tra Vinh University for a cultural exchange from March 22 to March 28, 2025. During this time, students from both universities will engage in academic and cultural exchange activities, participate in the March 26 Camp Festival, and explore the local life of people in Tra Vinh Province.
The meeting concluded successfully, opening up numerous opportunities for collaboration between Tra Vinh University and Samar State University, Philippines.
