TVU – On December 27 and 28, 2023, the School of Southern Khmer Languages – Cultures – Arts and Humanity (SLASKA), Tra Vinh University, organizes the 2023 – 2024 Teaching Skills Contest. Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, attends and delivers an opening speech.
This year’s contest has 244 final-year students majoring in Preschool Education, Primary Education and Philology participating in 6 main contents: pedagogical knowledge, eloquence, teaching aids, microteaching, writing on the board and handling pedagogical situations.
Dr. Phan Thi No, Head of the Faculty of Education, says this is an annual activity of the Faculty to create a professional playground for students of pedagogical majors to freely create, practice and improve pedagogical skills, supporting the majors they are pursuing. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awards 39 prizes to the most outstanding individuals and groups at the contest.
The Faculty of Education, School of Southern Khmer Languages - Cultures – Arts and Humanity is the university’s specialized unit responsible for training and fostering teachers. In recent years, besides PhD and Master training, the Faculty has provided training and fostering for high school, secondary school, primary school, and preschool teachers to meet the requirements of educational institutions. Annually, aiming at training orientation towards capacity development, meeting output standards, and helping students become not only professionally competent but also pedagogically skilled, the Faculty organizes the Good Teaching Skills Contest after students return from their 2nd pedagogical internship. |
