The biological product is an innovative start-up idea from the TVU student group to minimize the impact of pesticides and plant protection drugs on the environment and human health.

Nowadays, the influence of pesticides and plant protection residues is still a perplexing problem because of using arbitrarily, causing toxicity to the user and environmental pollution and can affect crops.

From the above reality, TVU students group including Nguyen Thi Tieu Mi (English Language class 2017), Nguyen Phuong Khanh (Applied Chemistry class 2016), and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han (Business Management Class 2018) has explored and researched a biological product by the nanotechnology, modern machines, and techniques in the manufacturing process. That is a bioproduct to prevent pests from Annona glabra seeds.
Annona glabra is one of the plants adapting to climate change, different habitats. As one of the herbs fully utilized from leaves, stems, roots, fruits, and even seeds, but the effect is not high. Most farmers only use Annona glabra seeds by hand method and only produce at the household scale.

Nguyen Thi Tieu Mi, leader of the project research team

Nguyen Thi Tieu Mi, leader of the project research team, said: “This biological product is a combination of secretions from the Annona glabra seeds and zinc nanoparticles of the Bio-Exa brand. The product has the function of protecting plants and preventing species of pests and diseases on fruit trees and vegetables.”

The biological product is in a capacity of 250ml with a spray dose of 125ml for a 16liter bottle. It not only prevents pests and plant aphids but also increases the ability to absorb leaf matter. Be a product safely for health, especially friendly with the environment, in line with the green agriculture trend with a unique, innovative, cost-saving production process.

Nguyen Phuong Khanh, a member of the research group, expressed his wish to bring to the community a bio-insecticide derived from nature, utility, and save time to contribute to the development of the agricultural economy in Vietnam. In particular, the biological product is to replace other products to protect the environment, create job opportunities for the worker, and assert themselves through getting rich legitimately.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han, a member of the research team, said: “The input material source of the production process is necessary to select carefully. After meeting the standards, raw materials will be washed, removed from the shell, taken, and dried the seeds. Then, the Annona glabra seeds are brought to crushing, extracting, filter, and obtain the secretions according to the extraction process. Finally, synthesis bioproducts by process combined with some essential oils and herbs in nature and bottled products.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Youth Start-up Center of Tra Vinh University, said: The bioproducts to enhancing the plant’s photosynthesis, protein synthesis, reducing the loss of flower and young fruit, and the increasing crop yield.

The product is highly effective in small doses, safe for users, friendly with the environment, saving costs, taking advantage of abundant and available materials locally. The safe and professional synthetic process marks the difference and stands out of this product.
