The Information Technology training program of Tra Vinh University accredits ABET standards

On September 1, ABET Accreditation Organization (American Organization for Accreditation of Engineering and Technology Training Programs) recognized the Information Technology training program within the School of Engineering and Technology, Tra Vinh University (TVU) achieved ABET international accreditation standards from 2022 to 2028.

The Information Technology training program is accredited by the US ABET international accreditation standards, based on the external evaluation from December 5 to December 9, 2021. The program has been assessed according to 8 criteria: Students, Program Educational Objectives, Student Outcomes, Continual Improvement, Curriculum, Faculties, Facilities, Support Institutions, and Program Criteria.

Tra Vinh University attaches special attention to improving education quality and international integration in training and research activities, specifically in training programs, through the examination of the program’s international standards.

Tra Vinh University is leading the Mekong Delta with 13 internationally accredited training programs according to the quality standards of AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET. The 5 training programs that meet the international standards of AUN-QA are Agriculture, Aquaculture, Veterinary (School of Agriculture and Aquaculture); Nursing (School of Medicine); Khmer Language (School of Southern Khmer Language, Culture and Arts).

7 FIBAA international accreditation programs: Business Administration, Economics, Laws, Accounting, Finance-Banking, Master of Business Administration, Master of Economic Management (School of Economics – Law); and Information Technology (School of Engineering and Technology). TVU is continuing to expand international education accreditation for re-study. In addition, the university focuses on investing in many characteristics, expanding new systems in the direction of diversification, linking the business community, and the need for human resources to serve the socio-economic development in the region.

In addition to training 51 undergraduate majors, the university has 27 master programs, 10 doctoral programs, and 5 specialist level 1 programs (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Odonto-Stomatology). The university promotes international cooperation in training and expands the transport of students to work abroad in Nursing, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Culture, and Tourism,…

At the same time, constantly expanding in the direction of diverse foreign languages ​​such as English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese… to help students expand job opportunities. In 2022, TVU will promote international enrollment activities at undergraduate and graduate levels.
