(TVU) – On September 23, 2022, representatives of the WEAV organization awarded 15 scholarships to female students at Tra Vinh University.
The representative of WEAV was Dr. Đặng Thị Ngọc Lan, Director of WEAV in Vietnam; Ms. Lê Thị Thanh Mỹ, Member of WEAV. On the side of Tra Vinh University, there were Ms. Trần Thị Cúc, Head of the Student Affairs Department; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Mai Khanh, Head of the International Cooperation and Project Promotion Department, along with faculty leaders, and 15 scholarship recipients.
Since 2014, the WEAV scholarship has sponsored many 150 female students of Tra Vinh University with a total budget of over 360 million VND. This year, WEAV has awarded 15 scholarships (41,250,000 VND in total) to disadvantaged female students of TVU.
Ms. Trần Thị Cúc, Head of the Student Affairs Department, thanked WEAV for supporting and helping female students at the university. She also hoped that WEAV will continue in companying and awarding scholarships to female students who overcome difficulties and achieve high academic achievements.
In addition, Dr. Đặng Thị Ngọc Lan hopes that the scholarships will motivate them to have more spirit in their studies.
Dương Thị Diễm, a student majoring in English Studies who received the scholarship, shared: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to WEAV for the great support and care. The scholarship is meaningful and thereby creates an inspection for me to continue to strive and exert myself on my studies at Tra Vinh University.”
