(TVU) – Thach Thi Ngoc Trinh, registration number 2011, a student of Tra Vinh University, excellently won the 2nd runner-up spot at the Southern Region Final of the Vietnam Miss University 2023 contest. She officially secures her spot in the national final, which is scheduled to take place from January 6 to January 13, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Vietnam Miss University 2023 contest, with the theme “The Beauty of Intelligence,” celebrates the intelligence, talent, confidence, and grace of Vietnamese female students. Participants engage in four major rounds including a comprehensive knowledge quiz, talent performance, costume presentation (elective attire and traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai), and an etiquette assessment.
Thach Thi Ngoc Trinh, contestant registration number 3011, a student majoring in pharmacy at Tra Vinh University, tries her best with an excellent performance to leave a lasting impression on the audience and the judges.
At the Southern Region Final, 15 outstanding contestants were selected to participate in the national final, with Thach Thi Ngoc Trinh impressing the audience and judges with her outstanding performance. The title of Miss University was awarded to contestant Huynh Nguyen Yen Nhi from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Ho Chi Minh City; the First Runner-up title was given to contestant Le Phuong Khanh Nhu from the University of Economics – Ho Chi Minh City; and the Second Runner-up title was achieved by contestant Thach Thi Ngoc Trinh from Tra Vinh University. The title of “Most Popular Female Student in the Southern Region” was awarded to contestant Le Phuong Khanh Nhu from the University of Economics – Ho Chi Minh City.
Thach Thi Ngoc Trinh expressed her gratitude, “I am very thankful to Tra Vinh University for enabling me to participate in this meaningful competition. The competition has opened up many opportunities for me to gain experience, learn, share, and improve my skills in the future.“
The Vietnam Miss University 2023 competition is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Students’ Association under the guidance of the Thanh Giong Knowledge Gateway, coordinated with FCF Group Joint Stock Company.
The competition, officially launched in November 2023, has received significant attention and interest from the student community as well as society in general, with over 1,000 female students from more than 100 universities, colleges, and academies nationwide registering to participate.
