An impressive football camp taken place at Tra Vinh University (TVU)

TRA VINH, June 23, 2014 – “Changing Life and Encouraging Ability through Soccer (C.L.E.A.T.S)” is the camp’s theme this year with participation of 130 students from the School of Practical Education, TVU.

It is the second year when this program was taken place from June 23 to June 28, 2014 held by TVU and Volunteers in Asia (VIA).

Mr. Wesley Hedden, Southeast Asia Program Director said: “It is very necessary to encourage soccer ability and the camp is an appropriate venue for developing the ability.”

Mr. Wesley Hedden and 21 volunteers who are active students coming from USA, Cambodia and Vietnam enthusiastically conducted children on football skills.

The children are aged from five to 12 and number of these participants is double comparing to those last year.

Mr. Tran Van Trong, TVU Vice Rector said he was strongly impressed to see the children participating C.L.E.A.T.S as it was useful entertainment, not only encouraged soccer ability but also trained living skills to the children.

A representative of the children’s parents expressed that it was great opportunity for them to do physical exercises and he was so grateful to the Organization Board for holding this wonderful activity.

C.L.E.A.T.S was closed on June 29 at TVU and it was continuing to happen from July 1 to July 11, 2014 in Kandal province, Cambodia.
