The success of the V2WORK project establishes a solid foundation for the VEES-NET network’s establishment in October 2020 at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Tra Vinh University and the other 7 member universities participate in this initiative. Hanoi University of Science and Technology chairs the first term of the VEES-NET network, and the network’s initial meeting takes place at Nha Trang University.
Member universities regularly organize activities related to employment and entrepreneurship for students, aiming to enhance employment opportunities and entrepreneurial skills. Tra Vinh University takes the lead and contributes significantly to the success of the VEES-NET network. Various activities, including vocational skill improvement, training courses, seminars, conferences, and extensive training programs on career orientation, employment, labor market, and entrepreneurship, are conducted by the members.
Tra Vinh University, as a member of the Board of Directors from 2020 to 2023, continues to lead in improving employment opportunities and promoting entrepreneurship among students. Additionally, the university connects universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta region and those in the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, the Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors, serves as the Chairman of the Association.
Tra Vinh University builds upon the achievements of the V2WORK project to promote entrepreneurship, inspire and train students in entrepreneurship, organize and participate in student entrepreneurship competitions, train lecturers, provide mentoring programs, idea incubation programs (NBI), acceleration startup program (SA16), and satellite models. At the event, Tra Vinh University presents a report on the results of promoting entrepreneurship among students and implements the “Student Cooperative Model” as a satellite model to support entrepreneurship, which receives high praise.
The VEES-NET network and its member universities agree on a three-year operational plan, including the development of programs and organization of online training courses for students in job searching and entrepreneurship skills, implementation of an electronic job exchange platform for network members, recruitment of new members, and coordination of programs, events, conferences, workshops, and job fairs to enhance employment opportunities and promote entrepreneurship among students. The V2WORK project, which aims to strengthen the Vietnamese Higher Education System and improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship skills, falls under the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Commission. |
