(TVU) – From October 2nd to October 5th, 2023, the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) organization conducted an external evaluation of 04 training programs at Tra Vinh University including Master of Cultural Studies, Bachelor of English Language, Bachelor of Food Technology and Bachelor of Preschool Education.
The external evaluation team includes Prof. Shahrir Abdullah, head of the evaluation team, along with Prof. Dr. Patricia M. Empleo; Dr. Veerades Panvisavas; Prof. John Donnie A, and members, secretary. They are leading experts in many fields from Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of the University, said that up to now, Tra Vinh University has 15 training programs accredited by international quality accreditation organizations AUN – QA, FIBAA, and ABET. Of these, 7 programs have met AUN-QA accreditation standards. This international quality accreditation is an important step on the roadmap of integrating regional and international education quality, constantly improving the quality of training programs.
According to the working agenda, the evaluation team examines documentation, interviews, and discusses with reporting groups including faculty leaders and training program managers, lecturers, support staff, students, alumni, businesses, and recruiters. They also survey and evaluate teaching and learning activities, practical facilities, research, and extracurricular activities of the University. After that, the team summarizes the opinions of all members and conducts the evaluation at the closing session on October 5th, 2023.
