Awarding national certificates of Khmer language to 50 officials

(TVU) – On the morning of October 28, Tra Vinh University held the closing ceremony, awarding national certificates of Khmer language to 50 officials of Tra On district, Vinh Long province.

Attending the closing ceremony, on the side of Tra On district leaders were Mr. Truong Ke Truyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tra On District; Mr. Le Hoang Hau, Standing Member of the District Party Committee, Head of the District Party Committee’s Propaganda Committee, Director of the District Political Training Center; Mr. Nguyen Van Dem, District Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the District Party Committee’s Propaganda Department and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, District Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Tra On District Party Committee.

On the side of Tra Vinh University, there was the attendance of Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Ngo So Phe, Principal of the School of Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Arts and Humanities; Leader of Victory Informatics Foreign Language Center; and many students of the school.

The Khmer language course took place from May 19 to September 9, 2023, at the Tra On District Political Training Center. It was organized and taught by Tra Vinh University with 2 modules. Module 1 included Khmer A1-1 and A1-2; Module 2 included Khmer A2-1 and A2-2.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, congratulated 50 officials on completing the Khmer language training program. She acknowledged and appreciated their efforts to overcome challenges complete and gain high achievements in the course.

Dr. Thach Thi Dan hoped that the knowledge and skills accumulated during the learning process would be useful and helpful for the officials in their work and lives.

According to the results report, the course achieved outstanding results. 100% of students accomplished the program, with 34 students achieving excellent grades and 16 students achieving good grades. The students were receptive and mastered basic language skills, vocabulary systems, vowels, and consonants in Khmer.

Speaking to congratulate the students, Mr. Truong Ke Truyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tra On District, said: “After the course, students know how to speak, write, and improve their ability to communicate in Khmer language.” He thanked Tra Vinh University for creating conditions and supporting students to complete the course, helping them master the skills and vocabulary of Khmer language. After this training course, students will have more confidence and knowledge to participate in higher courses at Tra Vinh University.

On this occasion, the school rewarded students who were valedictorians and made many contributions in coordinating the management of Khmer language training classes.
