(TVU) – On the morning of June 22, at Tra Vinh University, a program of summarizing and awarding the 28th National Mathematical Olympics took place from April 23 to April 24, 2022.
Attending the program were Assoc. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of VTU; Dr. Nguyen Van Sau – Dean of the Faculty of Basic Science, University of Television, along with the lecturers of the Mathematics department, the Faculty of Basic Science and the students who won prizes in the contest.
This year, Tra Vinh University has five students taking the calculus contest and five others taking the algebra contest to receive certificates from the organization board. Accordingly, in the Calculus section, student Cao Ka Ka, class B of IT 2020 won the third prize, and Huynh Tran Tuan Anh, class A of IT 2020 won the Consolation prize. The second runner-up in the Algebra section is Nguyen Thi Huynh Nhu, class C of IT 2020.
The TVU Director Board also awarded certificates of merit and flowers to the lecturers who participated in the review for this year’s Mathematical Olympic.
Speaking at the program, Assoc. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh wished the students to gain more strength, fulfill their ambitions to have the best destination, and achieve higher achievements to develop and contribute to the homeland. In addition, TVU recognized the enthusiasm and creativity of the lecturers participating in the review guide and the efforts of the students to achieve admirable results.
The 28th National Student-Student Math Olympics is an annual activity organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the Central Student Union. The contest is a place to show love, passion, and exchange about Mathematics, attracting students from all over the country to participate.
