TVU – On the evening of May 12th, at Lecture Hall D5, the Student Union of Tra Vinh University organized a ceremony to admit 1,422 students who are studying and living at the university into the Vietnamese Student Union.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of the University; Comrade Nguyen Van Long, Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Pham Le Phuong Thao, Executive Committee Member of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the University Youth Union, and President of the University Student Union; the Executive Committee of the University Student Union; representatives of the university’s departments and committees; and the executive committees of the student chapters and clubs.
The admission ceremony took place solemnly in accordance with the regulations of the Constitution and the Implementation Guidelines of the Constitution of the Central Secretariat of the Vietnamese Student Union, aiming to create a vibrant competitive spirit among the youth of the entire university, contributing to the success of the 8th Congress of the Vietnamese Student Union of Tra Vinh University for the term 2023 – 2025.
In her speech at the ceremony, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of the University, highly appreciated, acknowledged, and praised the remarkable achievements of the students at Tra Vinh University in contributing to the overall development of the institution.
In her congratulatory speech, Ms. Pham Le Phuong Thao, Executive Committee Member of the Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the University Youth Union, and President of the University Student Union, emphasized the rights and responsibilities of the union members as stipulated in the Constitution of the Vietnamese Student Union.
The President of the University Student Union hopes that in the upcoming period, the union members will be pioneering and proactive forces in various fields, closely aligning with the theme of the academic year “Building a Strong Vietnamese Student Union” and the program of Union activities and student movements for the 2022-2023 academic year set forth by the Executive Committee of the University Student Union. They will contribute to enhancing the quality of student movement activities at the university, ensuring sustainable development.
According to the Executive Committee of the University Student Union of Tra Vinh University, the task of building the Student Union organization is always considered a top priority. In the past academic year, significant positive changes have been observed in building a strong Vietnamese Student Union.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, the University Student Union of Tra Vinh University will carry out several key tasks such as promoting the “Five Good Students” movement, focusing on reviewing and implementing solutions to improve the quality of union organizations, the quality of union officials at all levels, and union membership work. They will successfully organize congresses of various levels of the Vietnamese Student Union leading up to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnamese Student Union for the term 2023-2028. They will also enhance activities to foster and educate revolutionary ideals and elevate the political acumen of union members and students.
The dissemination and introduction of the Vietnamese Student Union among students is a matter of concern for all levels of the union, through programs and movement activities. The aim is to attract a large number of students from the university to participate in the Student Union.
Representing all new union members, Ms. Phung Duyen Cam Sac, a member of the “Five Good Students” Club, expressed her honor and pride in being an exemplary student admitted to the Vietnamese Student Union. She promised to dedicate herself to studying, training, and being a pioneer and role model in all activities. She will uphold the glorious revolutionary tradition of Vietnamese students and the spirit of volunteerism among students to contribute to the overall development of the University Student Union.
