Cambodia wishes to promote training cooperation with Vietnamese schools

On August 8th, within the framework of participating in Vietnamese Culture Week in Cambodia, the delegation of Tra Vinh University had a working session with leaders of the Department of Education, the Department of Health, and more than 20 principals of the high schools in Svay Rieng province in terms of undergraduate and postgraduate training.

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University,
shared that: “Over the years, Tra Vinh University has trained high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region and the whole country. With the desire to reach the international level and provide labor resources to meet the trend of international integration, Tra Vinh University has constantly improved the quality of training through the accreditation of international education quality.”

Mr. Kong Sam Oeun, Principal of Romeas Hek High School, shared that: “Tra Vinh University’s medical training quality is very good. Students are skillful and qualified, meeting the people’s medical examination and treatment needs. Specifically, many students majoring in Medicine at Tra Vinh University are currently working in the medical field of Svay Rieng province and opening a clinic to serve Cambodian people’s medical examination and treatment needs.”

Currently, more than 10 alumni of Tra Vinh University working in the health system of Svay Rieng province receive positive feedback from the people and leaders of the Department of Health of Svay Rieng province. It shows that the university’s training quality, especially in medicine, has well met the labor needs of Svay Rieng province in particular and Cambodia in general.

Representative of the Department of Education of Svay Rieng province, Mr. Sann Neang, affirmed his support and willingness to create the best conditions for Tra Vinh University and other Vietnamese schools to expand cooperation in training and enrolling in Cambodia.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed the cooperation exchange in enrollment, training, and information about the situation of Cambodian students studying at Tra Vinh University in particular and Vietnam in general.
