I. Admission eligibility
• Applicants are foreign nationals who have completed high school education (equivalent to Vietnamese high school diploma) either from abroad or from their current residing country. Or foreign applicants.
• Meet one of the admission criteria set by the university.
• Possess good health for studying.
• Provide complete personal information and application documents as required.

II. Admission method and majors
1. Admission method
Direct admission as stipulated by the Admission Regulations issued under Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT dated June 6, 2022, by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (method code: 301).
2. Majors for Admission
Applicants can refer to the attached list of majors for admission.

III. Admission criteria
For foreign applicants who meet the Vietnamese language proficiency and competence requirements according to the current regulations of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam, they will be considered for admission to undergraduate programs at Tra Vinh University based on the following cases:

• Case 1: Applicants who have graduated from high school in their home country, but have not achieved the equivalent of B2 level in Vietnamese (level 4/6) as per Article 6 of Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDĐT dated December 24, 2018, governing the management of foreign students in Vietnam. After completing the Vietnamese language course, students must achieve a total score of 8.0 or higher for Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and Teacher Education programs; a score of 7.0 or higher for Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Imaging programs; and a score of 5.0 or higher for other majors.
To proceed to the formal Vietnamese language program, students must complete the preparatory Vietnamese language program and additional subject knowledge according to the combination of subjects considered for admission within one academic year, as organized by the university (Phase 1). After completing the course, students meeting the requirements (depending on the selected major) will be transferred to the formal program (Phase 2).
If a student does not meet the requirements of Phase 1, they must continue supplementary studies and attend another assessment session until the requirements are met.

• Case 2: Applicants who have graduated from high school, vocational school, college, or university with Vietnamese as the medium of instruction or have achieved a Vietnamese language proficiency equivalent to B2 (level 4/6): Based on the results of high school education, achieving the required Vietnamese language proficiency and competence as per the current regulations will result in admission to the formal Phase 2.

IV. Application Documents
1. Application form (attached template).
2. Certified copy of high school diploma.
3. Certified copy of high school transcripts.
4. Certified copy of higher education diploma and transcripts from vocational school, college, or university in Vietnam (if applicable).
5. Certified copy of passport (students must submit their passport upon receiving admission notification for visa preparation).
6. Certified copy of birth certificate.
7. Certified copy of Vietnamese or English language certificate (if applicable).

VI. Tuition Fees
Phase 1
– Vietnamese Preparatory Program
The university charges a tuition fee of 12,500,000 VND (equivalent to 540 USD) for one student for one academic year.
Phase 2 – Undergraduate Majors

For candidates meeting the admission criteria in Case 2 (Section III) and are transferred to study undergraduate majors in the academic year 2022-2023, the university charges tuition fees for each major as follows:
• Medical, Dental, and Preventive Medicine majors: 54,000,000 VND/year (equivalent to 2,330 USD). Other majors in the Health Science cluster: 44,800,000 VND/year (equivalent to 1,932 USD).
• Other majors: 27,300,000 – 30,300,000 VND/year (equivalent to 1,178 USD – 1,310 USD).
Tuition fees for subsequent academic years will not increase by more than 10% compared to the fees of the academic year 2022-2023.

Other Expenses:
Visa fees, accommodation, insurance, degree recognition fees, etc. Tra Vinh University supports students with necessary procedures, while students are responsible for travel, meals, living expenses, etc., during their studies at the university.

VII. Scholarship Policies
Phase 1:
The university will provide scholarships to international students based on their high school performance. The details are as follows:
TH1: Scholarship coverage = 100% of tuition fee
Total number of scholarships: 50% of the admitted students in Phase 1 (Vietnamese Preparatory Program).
Awarded based on high school graduation ranking (starting from the highest score until the quota is fulfilled).
TH2: Scholarship coverage = 40% of tuition fee
Total number of scholarships: Remaining 50% of the admitted students in Phase 1 (Vietnamese Preparatory Program).
Phase 2
First year of Phase 2:
The university provides scholarships covering 100% of the tuition fee for the first year of specialized majors to the top 10% students in the Vietnamese language course.
Subsequent years of Phase 2:
Scholarship policies follow the current regulations of Tra Vinh University to encourage academic excellence.
