(TVU) – On April 4, more than 20 TVU staff participated in the seminar “Gender sensitivity in the workplace” delivered by Dr. Eden R. Divinagracia, Executive Director of Philippine NGO Council on Population Health & Welfare, Inc. (PNGOC) in Campus 1, TVU.
At the seminar, gender issues in both families and workplaces have been actively and deeply discussed. “Gender inequality still exists. Gender awareness enhancement leads to positive thinking”, said Dr. Divinagracia.
After the lively discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU Rector and Dr. Eden R. Divinagracia have signed a MoU to enhance research capacity on gender equality, carry out research projects on population, healthcare, gender as well as family planning, and seek sponsors for community-based activities to empower women, people with disabilities, and people belonging to different cultural groups.
Rector Pham Tiet Khanh highly evaluated the seminar and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Eden R. Divinagracia and the delegation for the fruitful visit.
