TVU – On the afternoon of June 21, the School of Economics and Law organizes a meeting of the advisory board for undergraduate training programs in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and E-commerce.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Truc Linh, Vice Principal of the School of Economics and Law, attends along with representatives from the school’s departments. Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of Tra Vinh Province Business Incubator and Director of Tra Vinh University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, joins the meeting. Experts and lecturers from universities in Ho Chi Minh City and businesses from within and outside the province are also present.
During the session, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Loan, Head of the Logistics Department, introduces training models for Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and E-commerce programs, including traditional and Co-op models integrating international certificates.
Business representatives, experts, and scientists analyze and provide feedback on innovation and learning outcomes for these fields. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hai Quang, Senior Lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, notes that the program’s competency framework design meets the required attitudes, knowledge, and skills. However, he suggests consolidating foundational and general education courses and reviewing output standards.
Ms. Nguyen Viet Binh, Deputy Director of AAAS Freight Forwarding Company, praises the training objectives and learning outcomes, noting that the courses and internship duration allow students to engage effectively with real businesses.
Regarding e-commerce, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Customer Development Director of EDTEXCO Vietnam Education Technology JSC, emphasizes that while artificial intelligence (AI) cannot fully replace humans, those with deep AI knowledge will gradually replace those without it. He urges the program to focus more on technological innovation, given the rapidly changing nature of the field.
The discussion receives numerous contributions from guests, lecturers, experts, businesses, and scientists, all aimed at improving the quality of education at the School of Economics and Law, Tra Vinh University.
