Finance and Banking Sector according to FIBAA standards – training to integration from professional knowledge to skills

In any industry, there is the circulation of money. That is why the Finance-Banking sector requires many human resources to serve economic exchange activities.

Currently, universities and colleges are focusing on training the Finance-Banking sector to serve economic development, especially in the integration period.

At Tra Vinh University, Finance-Banking is trained and enrolled for more than a decade. However, with the development and competition of the integrated economy, learners equipped with knowledge and skills can timely grasp the world’s economic trends, so bringing the discipline to approach European education standards (FIBAA) are pursued by TVU and recognized by this organization in 2019.

According to Assoc. Prof, Dr. Nguyen Hong Ha, Deputy Dean of School of Economics and Law, Head of Finance-Banking Department: “This is one of the four majors at TVU accredited by FIBAA quality standards.”

Whether in the economic crisis or growth, Finance-Banking still plays a significant role in the monetary trade sector. Whether in the micro or macro field, businesses and the State must pay attention to the cash flow issue.

A student in Finance-Banking is fully equipped with knowledge about the banking’s monetary business in Vietnam and in the world to be able to undertake jobs at commercial banks, credit institutions, companies, and government agencies.

With the trend of international economic integration, a student who has an excellent degree in Banking and Finance, good professional skills, fluent foreign languages is always a valuable human resource on the list of candidates to be hunted by reputable banks and financial groups.

Studying in Finance-Banking at TVU, students have opportunities to become a “potential intern”. The program “potential intern” is periodically organized to create conditions for graduating students to practice and have practical experience in a professional working environment and receive financial support during the internship. Moreover, students can become official employees of the bank before graduation.

Currently, students studying Finance-Banking of Tra Vinh University, after graduation, can work in most banks, credit organizations, and companies, financial groups, ministries with positions such as tellers, financial specialists, controllers, financial directors, appraisers, etc.

Mr. Cao Tuan Canh, an alumnus of Finance-Banking 2015, said that he is currently working at Sacombank, Cau Ngang branch (Tra Vinh). The knowledge and skills trained at Tra Vinh University help him to be confident in his work.

In 2021, Tra Vinh University continues to enroll 55 undergraduate majors, in which the Finance-Banking major is one of the most fields that candidates are interested in and choose to study.
