TVU – On the afternoon of June 18, Tra Vinh University (TVU) organizes a friendly football match between the TVU student team and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) branch in Vinh Long.
The participants from the UEH branch in Vinh Long include Mr. Ngo Thien Quyen, the Vice Director; Ms. Tran Thi Lan Thao, the Deputy Head of the Training Department; and Comrade Nguyen Trung Tien, the Secretary of the Youth Union.
Representing Tra Vinh University (TVU) are Mr. Pham Quoc Khanh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Thuy, the Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Office, and the faculty members of the Basic Sciences Department. Many supporters from both institutions are also present to cheer on the teams.
Before the match begins, Mr. Pham Quoc Khanh, the Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Office, expresses, “Organizing and maintaining sports activities not only promotes physical fitness but also strengthens the sense of unity among students of Tra Vinh University and the UEH branch in Vinh Long.” He also sends encouragement and support to all the players participating in the competition.
The match aims to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the establishment of Tra Vinh University and contribute to promoting the sports movement, providing a meaningful platform for spiritual development and physical fitness training. It encourages and motivates the unity and youth in their studies, creating a healthy competitive environment and showcasing the solidarity between the two institutions.
As soon as the match starts, the players from both teams deliver an exciting and captivating game. Throughout the two halves (50 minutes) of play, the players showcase their football skills and display a high level of sportsmanship, treating the spectators to beautiful ball handling and engaging in a dramatic and thrilling competition. The match concluded with a score of 5-3 in favor of the Tra Vinh University team.
Trinh Phan Hoang Viet, the Head of the Football Club of the UEH branch in Vinh Long, humbly states, “The Tra Vinh University team demonstrates a well-balanced lineup and exhibits a coordinated and friendly sportsmanship spirit. I hope that in the future, both institutions will organize more matches to create a beneficial playground and enhance the spirit of sports and physical fitness for both units.”
