(TVU) – On February 2nd, 2024, the Center of Community Support at Tra Vinh University organizes the “Spring Gifts – Bringing love to children in the highlands” program, visiting and presenting 187 Tet gifts to the orphans at Vinh Son 1 Shelter in Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province, with a total amount of over 56 million VND.
M.A. Phung Thi Phuong Khanh, the Director of the Center of Community Support hopes that the “Spring Gifts – Bringing love to children in the highlands” program will bring joy and happiness to the children on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and mutual love to the community.
The gifts included rice, milk, study materials, Vietnamese cylindrical sticky rice cakes, sausages, dried fish, shredded pork, seasoning powder, noodles, clothes, toys, and confectionery, along with 300,000 VND in cash. The funding was mobilized from staff, union members of the university, and philanthropists.
So Y Vut, the Manager of Vinh Son 1 Shelter, expresses gratitude for the kindness of the teachers and staffs at Tra Vinh University and the sponsors. The gifts provided to the children at the shelter, in the days leading up to Tet were practical and meaningful, contributing to creating a warm Tet holiday for the children.
