TVU – On the occasion of its 17th anniversary, Trà Vinh University collaborated with the Vietnam Record Institute and the Record Number – ViKi.Media (a unit under the Vietnam Record Organization) to create a unique digital map of Trà Vinh province to establish a Vietnam Record. On June 17, 2023, the Vietnam Record Organization officially awarded Trà Vinh University the record certificate titled “The Cultural Beauty of Trà Vinh – Trà Vinh Province Map on the Digital Platform, created by the university’s faculty and students.”

Since 2022, with the desire to develop and expand Vietnam Records on the digital platform, the Vietnam Record Organization – VietKings has collaborated with relevant entities to implement various digital projects such as the Sphere 6 record celestial system, the Record Achievement Bank – GAB, and the Record Number. Along this journey, the ViKI.Media digital record, under the guidance of the Vietnam Record Institute, has also connected with units nationwide to search for, support, and build new record values using modern digital technology. The digital record values are not limited by space or time and contribute significantly to enhancing human creativity and promoting the special values of localities.

“THE CULTURAL BEAUTY OF TRÀ VINH” MAP ON THE DIGITAL PLATFORM

Trà Vinh province is a land that has undergone many ups and downs in its tumultuous history. It is a region that holds a diverse ecosystem and various economic potentials, as well as being a place of cultural significance with multiple ethnic groups such as the Kinh, Khmer, Hoa, and Chăm. Therefore, Trà Vinh is one of the provinces with a remarkably impressive and diverse cultural identity.

Located in the coastal area of the Mekong Delta, Trà Vinh is situated between the Tiền River and the Hậu River. It owns a coastline of 65km with two main entrances, Cung Hầu, and Định An. This area is a long-standing homeland of three ethnic groups: Kinh, Khmer, and Chinese, contributing to the formation and preservation of a unique traditional cultural heritage.

To showcase their love for Trà Vinh through lenses and videos, as well as provide an opportunity for students to share their emotions and perspectives on the land where they study, Trà Vinh University, in collaboration with the Vietnam Record Institute and ViKi.Media organized a photo and video contest with the theme “The Cultural Beauty of Trà Vinh.” Especially, on the occasion of the university’s 17th anniversary, these photos and videos were used to form the digital map of Trà Vinh province, aiming to establish a Vietnam Record. The ‘Cultural Beauty of Tra Vinh’ is a digital map project carried out by a team of faculty members and students to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the establishment of Tra Vinh University. It was directly implemented on the digital platform.

With the curation of VietKings Evaluation Council, 2023 images and videos showcasing the people, culture, history, and exquisite values of the Tra Vinh region gradually fill up the Tra Vinh map. The collective effort of Tra Vinh University has successfully created a digital map that encompasses the significant ‘Beauty’ of both the people and the land of Tra Vinh. Behind each image lies a story, reflecting the love and perspectives of the faculty members and students towards the region where they work and study, as well as their desire to promote Tra Vinh to friends within the country and internationally.

Through each photo and video on the digital map, we can catch a glimpse of the cultural and historical life of the local community, thereby highlighting the beauty of the land and its people. The Trà Vinh province digital map has played a significant role in introducing and promoting the beauty of Trà Vinh, including its special tourist destinations, delicious cuisine, and long-standing traditional values, through images captured by the university’s faculty and students.

With this special achievement, Trà Vinh University has officially been recognized and awarded the Vietnam Record certificate for “The Cultural Beauty of Trà Vinh” – The digital map of Tra Vinh province, created from numerous photos and videos, has received the highest recognition by the University of Tra Vinh’s faculty and students.

On the evening of June 17, 2023, at Tra Vinh University (No. 126 Nguyen Thien Thanh, Ward 5, Tra Vinh City, Tra Vinh province), the official ceremony for the recognition of the Vietnamese Record was held. Representatives from the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) present at the event included Mr. Lê Trần Trường An – Director General of VietKings, Mr. Dương Duy Lâm Viên – Secretary-General of the Vietnam Record Association, Head of the Vietnam Record Institute, Ms. Võ Lưu Lan Uyên – Deputy Secretary-General of VietKings, and Mr. Lê Đại Lộc – Project Director of the Digital Record.

After the process of reviewing 2023 images and videos conducted by the faculty and students of Tra Vinh University to contribute to the creation of the digital map of Tra Vinh province, promoting the wide range of cultural beauty and the people of Tra Vinh, the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) officially decided to establish a record for Tra Vinh University at the event.

Tra Vinh University was formed and developed from Tra Vinh Community College.
