TVU increases the rank of Top 200 universities with sustainable development in the world in 2020

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings has just announced the results of ranking universities for sustainable development in the world in 2020.

Tra Vinh University continues to increase and ranks 129/912 universities (total score 7275), up nearly 100 places compared to 2019. TVU is in the Top 200 universities with a sustainable and friendly development environment in the world and is one of the two Vietnam universities in this ranking. This year, 912 universities around the world participate in this prestigious international ranking, an increase of nearly 200 universities compared to 2019.

TVU achieves this result thanks to the continuous efforts of teachers and students, the Rector Board, and the community in the process of international education integration, affirming the position on the world education map, contributing the part to improve the TVU reputation and training quality to meet the learners’ needs.

UI GreenMetric is the only organization in the world ranking universities according to criteria of building and developing sustainable universities; friendly with the environment and nature. This system ranks universities based on six criteria included landscape, modernity, and environmental friendliness of the infrastructure, the clean energy policy and response to climate change, the university waste management, the policy on using and reusing water resources, the intelligent traffic system, and the educational capacity.

Leading this year’s rankings are Wageningen University (Netherlands), University of Oxford, followed by Nottingham University (UK), California Davis (USA), Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld (Trier University of Applied Sciences) (Germany), Universita di Bologna (Italy).
