On the morning of March 19, the first nationwide Green Sunday in 2023 was held<\/strong>
\nat Zone I of Tra Vinh University.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The launch program of \u201cThe first national Green Sunday in 2023\u201d with the theme
\n\u201cSegregating waste at source for a green and clean environment\u201d attracted the
\nparticipation of many lecturers and more than 450 youth union members from
\nfaculties of Tra Vinh University. The program helped officials, union members, and
\nyoung people develop positive attitudes, and environmentally friendly behaviors.
\nAlso, it encouraged people to actively participate in environmental preservation,
\nclimate change adaptation, and the prevention and control of natural disasters and
\nepidemics in 2023.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The youth union members and young people participated in the program by gathering,
\nclassifying, and correctly treating all types of garbage at the source, cleaning the
\ncampus\u2019s roadways, self-study area, and faculty rooms. Also, they trimmed trees and
\nplanted new ones, as well as cleaned up the grass around the dormitories.<\/p>\n

Green Sunday is a regularly held activity where people work together to solve the
\nproblem of environmental pollution and respond to climate change. The purpose of
\nGreen Sunday is to help students understand their role and responsibilities in the
\nclassification and treatment of waste at the source, contributing to the formation of the
\n\u201cGreen University.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through the programs, union members and young people\u2019s awareness of their part in
\ncreating a green, clean, and beautiful environment was raised, and this inspired them
\nto take voluntary action to care for the environment and trees.<\/p>\n

The first Green Sunday of 2023 started with an opening ceremony as part of a
\ncelebration of the 92nd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
\n(March 26, 1931 \u2013 March 26, 2023) and a response to Youth Month 2023. Thereby,
\nthe program helped to highlight the role of Tra Vinh University\u2019s impulsive,
\nresponsible, and creative young generation in environmental preservation and climate
\nchange reaction.<\/p>\n
