Become a Student at TVU – International Admissions

To apply as an international student for admission to Tra Vinh University (TVU), please follow these instructions:

Before You Apply
Explore TVU programs. Check the requirements for your specific program and gather your necessary documents for reviewing process

1. A copy of your birth certificate.
2. A copy of High School Graduation Diploma.
3. A copy of your high school academic transcripts/ study record.
4. A copy of your passport (photo page) or ID card (if any for the passport, but the passport must be available when you are informed to prepare your visa application).
5. A copy of English/ Vietnamese language proficiency certificate (if any).


When your application has been completed and successfully submitted you will receive an acknowledgment email from international admissions.

If the documents do not meet our requirements, your application will be judged invalid.

The documents for reviewing process help us to evaluate if you are eligible or not. For the successful candidates, you will be informed to prepare hard copies of necessary Documents for Enrolment to submit us directly upon your enrolling arrival at TVU. Both the Documents for reviewing process and the Documents for Enrolment (in paper) must be submitted to TVU.

We strongly recommend submitting your application online. The application process for international students is different than for domestic students. The application below is for students who are NOT Vietnamese Citizen or Permanent Residents.

Scan/ capture all documents (in separate files)

Fill in the on-line International Application for Admission form which includes uploading your documents.

Once you have submitted your online application you will receive an acknowledgment email.

After You Apply

Once your application has met the requirements and all your documents have been received, your application will begin to be processed.

It can take from 2-8 weeks to process an application. Having all your documents attached to the online application decreases wait time. Note:  Graduate Programs may take longer.

If you have met the admission requirements, you will be informed to prepare hard copies of necessary Documents for Enrolment to submit us directly upon your enrolling arrival at TVU. This letter will be emailed to you, containing information on program start dates and instructions for payment,

In order to secure your place in a program, you must complete the requirements of the admissions by the deadline date indicated in Letter of Offer. Once the Documents for Enrolment are complete, an official “Letter of Acceptance” will be emailed to you. You will need this letter to apply for a study permit at the Embassy, Consulate, or High Commission in your country.


In some programs, due to space or enrolment limitations, admission does not guarantee that space will be available.

TVU reserves the right to cancel any scheduled program or course if there is insufficient enrolment. In such cases, every reasonable effort will be made to notify you as early as possible.

Apply by Paper

TVU also accepts paper applications by mail, direct applications (email or paper applications), applications through authorized representatives. However, please note that paper applications will take longer to process.

Attach certified copies of all educational documents in the original language, and certified copies translated into English, if applicable.
