Job Fair 2020 – A bridge between students and businesses

(TVU) – The Job Service Center of Tra Vinh University has successfully organized the Job Fair 2020 which was taken place at the end of July, attracting the attendance of dozens of businesses and more than 1,000 students.

The Job Fair is an annual event organized by Tra Vinh University at the end of the academic years to build a close relationship between the University and businesses, as well as to create a bridge between businesses and students and build a realistic environment bringing to students a visual view of the recruitment needs of employers, helping them  to identify themselves with the employers and to find suitable positions with trained majors.

At the fair, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University visited the recruitment booths and expressed his deep gratitude to the businesses that have accompanied the university for many years and recruited the labor force who are the best students of the university, as well as cooperated in co -op training programs, internships, scholarship awarding, etc. He adumbrate that students and businesses would choose and apply for the most suitable position.

Dr. Tran Thanh Dung, representative of THADI Agriculture Farming Processing and Distribution Joint Stock Company has shared a number of job positions which are suitable for students who have just graduated. From his recruiting experience, he has shared his feeling on first-year students, training pathways, recruitment criteria as well as the difficulties in recruitment process, the balance between soft skills and professional competence in the employer’s point of view, and the way to make the curriculum vitae get noticed.

Job Fair 2020 attracted a large number of students taking part in face-to-face interviews in fields of agriculture, bao, insurance, human resources administration, information technology, electricity – electronics.

According to statistics from the University’s Job Service Center, at the fair, businesses need to recruit more than 1,500 positions. In particular, 500 positions in Cambodia and more than 1,000 positions in the Southeastern and Southwest provinces for students of Tra Vinh University.
