(TVU) – On February 2022, Laboratory School (under Tra Vinh University) solemnly celebrated its 10th anniversary, received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, and inaugurated a building for gifted high schools.
Attending the ceremony, there were Ms. Duong Thi Ngoc Tho – Standing Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Le Thanh Binh – Standing Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam – Standing Member of Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Tra Vinh City Party Committee, Head of the Representative Committee of Parents of Laboratory School; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bach Van – Member of Provincial Party Committee, Director of Tra Vinh Department of Education and Training, former Rectress of Laboratory School; and Mr. Nguyen Van Tam, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tra Vinh Province’s Agencies and Enterprises.
On the side of Tra Vinh University, there were Mr. Tran Hoan Kim – Chairman of the Advisory Council of Tra Vinh University, Chairman of the Council of Laboratory School, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tra Vinh Province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector of Tra Vinh University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung – Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University; Ms. Thach Thi Dan – Vice Rectress of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Vo Hoang Khai – Former Vice President of Tra Vinh University, former Rector of Laboratory School; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Former Vice President of Tra Vinh University; leaders of Departments, Institutes, Centers of Tra Vinh University; leaders of many Agencies and Unions in the province; former students, representatives of high school students and all staff of Laboratory School. 
At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong – Rector of Laboratory School reviewed the establishment and development of Laboratory School. The school was established under Decision No. 1721/QD-UBND on October 26, 2011, of the Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee with the model of inter-level teaching: Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, and High school. The school is a public educational institution under the national education system, managed by Tra Vinh University in terms of organization, personnel, and facilities; managed by Tra Vinh Department of Education and Training on the implementation of educational development programs and plans.
Ten years of striving and growing is not a long time, but with the spirit of solidarity, determination, and enthusiasm, generations of teachers, staff and students at Laboratory School have tried their best for human cultivation. This beloved school is where many teachers and students won provincial and national titles; many students achieved high results in university entrance exams. The School’s achievements are recognized by all localities, agencies and people.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector of Tra Vinh University praised the efforts of the staff and students of the School and expressed his gratitude to the support of agencies and organizations. He believed that the school will continue to achieve many successes and become a national standard school.

On the 10th anniversary, the Laboratory School was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister from 2015 to 2016 to the academic year 2019 – 2020, Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee for Excellent Labor Collective in 2020-2021, Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises for the Party’s Department of Laboratory School meeting the standard of “Clean and strong” for 5 consecutive years (2016 – 2021). These are valuable rewards and great encouragement for teachers and students of Laboratory School in the future.

On this occasion, the School celebrated the inauguration of an upgrade and expansion for the high school for the gifted, built on the campus of Laboratory School with 3 main work: a 3-floor classroom system in an area of 3,14.16 square meters with 12 classrooms and function rooms; school yard, drainage, underground water tank system; fire protection system, lightning protection and CCTV. This construction is designed with modern equipment to better serve the teaching and learning at the School.
