Multidiciplinary Masters degree programme in Marine Ecosystem Management and Climate Change is offered at Nha Trang University. The programme is of high quality, applying current world knowledge in marine ecosystems mananagement and climate change. This programme is a collaboration involving several well-known universities (University of Tromso and University of Bergen, Norway; University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka) in addition to affiliated universities (Auburn University, USA; Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia and others in Asia Pacific). This is a master’s degree programme taught in English and the diploma is granted by Nha Trang University (NTU).
Objectives are:
To provide professional and cutting edge information and knowledge in marine ecosystems management and climate change;
To provide students with the analytical tool to evaluate the effect of climate change on ecosystems.
After completing the programme, applicants should be able to: advise and do research on the changes in marine ecosystems due to climate change; recommend, develop and analyze government policies and other activities to mitigate the effects of climate change on ecosystems management.

Tuition fee:
Sponsored by NORAD and NTU, and hence, the tuition fee for 2 years is $1,200.00. The tuition fee can be paid every semester: $300.00/semester. International applicants who are from low and middle incomes countries LMICs (listed at http://www.oecd.org/dac/stats/49483614.pdf) and Vietnamese applicants who are members of minority groups or from remote areas will be considered for tuition waiver or tuition discount depending on circumstances.
Scholarship:
Six NORAD full scholarships are available for excellent applicants who are currently working for Nha Trang University and the University of Ruhuna, and applicants who are members of minority groups. The scholarship consists of a monthly allowance, NOK 2,400, and a yearly allowance for books and materials of NOK 1,000. Additional expenses for economy class flights to and from Nha Trang, visa fee, insurance fee are also covered.

Opportunities to collaborate in research and development with experienced professors and instructors from well-known universities in the world, including Nha Trang University.
Eligibilities:
– Applicants are required to have Bachelor degree(s);
– A minimum of TOEFL iBT 60, IELTS 5.0 or equivalent. Candidates with BA degrees taught in English or those from countries speaking English as a native or official language are waived English requirement.
Evaluation procedure:
– Vietnamese applicants will take an NTU’s admission test (Jan 7th -8th, 2017).
– International applicants will be evaluated based on application profiles.
