On July 31st, 2012, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh- Rector of Tra Vinh University (TVU) presented the Scientific Council of TVU his research named “An investigation on teaching methods of Khmer Language in Tra Vinh Province: suggestions and problems”.
The Scientific Council invited Mr. Ngo Chan Ly- a researcher of Khmer language and other teachers of Khmer language from different schools in Tra Vinh Province to give remarks on the research.
At the meeting, the participants were reported the results of the research. By making a survey, teaching some experimental periods, having class observations and other research techniques, the researchers had a profound understanding on Khmer teaching situation in Tra Vinh province and proposed some suggestions on Khmer teaching methods to improve the situation in Tra Vinh as well as in other areas of the Mekong Delta.
After reading and being reported the work, the Scientific Council confimed that this research is very authentic and meets the demand of the education in Tra Vinh province. The research was ranked A and proposed to be evaluated by the Provincial Scientific Council in the coming time.
