TVU – In the morning of April 1, 2015, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU Rector warmly welcomed Mr. Jo Jong Gon, Planning and Auditing Chief, Department of Planning and Auditing, Gimje city, Korea and the delegation.

The visit was to look for the opportunities for co-operation in agriculture and research in this field. The two provinces had much collaborative potential to offer training courses as well as make qualified agricultural products and machines thanks to the similarities in agricultural strength, Mr. Jo Jong Gon said.
At present, Gimje city has a new rice species with high yield. “We hope the two parties can cooperate to multiply this new rice variety or create other new rice varieties for higher yield”, sai Mr. Kim Tae Han, the International Cooperation Section Assistant Director.
After the meeting, the delegation took a facilities tour and paid a visit to agriculture and aquaculture labs.
