TVU – On November 17th, 2021, Tra Vinh University held the opening ceremony of the official survey serving the quality assessment of 3 training programs: Bachelor of Laws, Master of Economic Management, and Master of Administration Business under the School of Economics and Law according to the accreditation standards of the evaluation team outside FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
Attending the opening ceremony, the representatives of the assessment team of FIBAA are Ms. Friderike Uphoff – FIBAA Project Manager, Prof. Dr. Petra Jordanov – Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, Germany, Prof. Dr. Alessio Pacces, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands; Accreditation experts are prestigious professors who are teaching and doing research at leading European universities. In addition, there are business representatives, student representatives and local experts. On the side of Tra Vinh University, there are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung – Vice-Rector, Dean of School of Economics and Law, together with leaders of faculties, departments, departments, centers, lecturers, and students of the university.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Rector said that participating in evaluations outside of the school’s training programs to improve the quality of training, scientific research and integrate the quality of international education of the school, enhance the position of the university. and ensure the interests of learners, especially towards making Tra Vinh University become one of the prestigious universities in the region and the country.
The Rector wishes that with the care and support and the dedicated and urgent work spirit, experts with a holistic view will point out strengths, limitations, and ways to overcome, helping the school has an action plan. specifically to improve and well implement the roadmap for education quality accreditation in the next stage.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung – Vice-Rector, Dean of School of Economics and Law gave an overview of Tra Vinh University, development history, organizational structure, mission, vision, goals, core values and policies. quality assurance books, outstanding achievements and development strategies of the University. The Vice-Rector also summarized the core contents of the university’s self-assessment process and the steps of the external assessment process.
The evaluation team outside of educational quality accreditation from FIBAA through an online form evaluated 3 training programs: Bachelor of Laws, Master of Economic Management, and Master of Business Administration.
The official survey took place in 3 days from November 17th to 19th, 2021. Before that, the evaluation team visited the facilities and the operation situation of units throughout the University through photos, materials and video clips provided by TVU.
The delegation had interviews with leaders of the Faculty of Economics and Law, leaders of the Graduate Training Department, and professional leaders of industries and lecturers who directly teach to learn how to care for and organize teaching for students. The delegation also approached to interview current and former students to find out learners’ satisfaction.
FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) is a quality assurance organization of the Swiss Government, widely recognized in the world for its rigor and high requirements for the quality of lecturers, program design, Practical application, quality of service, facilities, quality of learners… The FIBAA-accredited training program will allow learners to transfer credits with universities around the world. as well as job search opportunities in European countries and around the world.
Previously, 4 training programs at Tra Vinh University were also recognized by FIBAA as meeting quality accreditation standards, namely Economics, Accounting, Finance – Banking and Business Administration under the Faculty of Economics and Law.
In addition, the school has 03 majors that have just passed the international accreditation of AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance), bringing the total number of AUN-QA accreditation at the University to 05 majors, namely Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine, Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine, and Fisheries. In which, Agriculture is the major of the School of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nursing of School of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Khmer Language of the School of Southern Khmer Language, Culture and Arts.
