TVU – On April 12, 2024, Tra Vinh University organized a summary of the lecturer exchange and research cooperation program between Tra Vinh University (TVU), Vietnam, and Central Philippine University (CPU), Philippines, which took place from April 6 to April 12, 2024.
Attending the program was Assoc. Prof.Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Principal of Tra Vinh University, and representatives of entities affiliated with the University. On behalf of Central Philippine University, there was Dr Irving Rio, Vice Principal, along with leaders and lecturers of primary schools, secondary schools and research centres affiliated with.
The lecturer exchange and research cooperation program takes place with many activities for collaborative research projects between both universities as well as professional development for lecturers and creating an international cultural exchange environment in education. In particular, the Principals of both universities signed a memorandum to establish the Asian Research Network (ARN), and lecturers of both universities had the opportunity to share research results on the tendency to develop Education in Vietnam and the Philippines through the Workshop “Education in the integration era”.
At the same time, CPU lecturers conducted interviews and observed classes at the elementary, middle, and high school levels at the Pedagogical Practice School—TVU within the framework of collaborative research projects between two universities.
To enhance understanding of the culture and people of both countries, the CPU teaching team had the opportunity to experience cultural exchange activities at Con Chim with folk games and enjoy many special traditional dishes in there.
At the closing ceremony, representatives of the two universities’ leaders signed a cooperation plan, marking the beginning of 12 collaborative research projects of both universities’ lecturers in the fields of Economics, Law, Chemistry, Education, Language, Culture, Agriculture, and Teaching Methods.
Speaking at the summary program, Associate Professor Dr Diep Thanh Tung emphasized that the University always pays special attention to investment policies for scientific research activities and international cooperation, thereby improving the scientific research capacity of lecturers and enhancing its brand of TVU in the international arena. At the same time, the University also has high expectations for future collaborative research projects between the two universities.
