Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume meets TVU students

(TVU)-In last December, Tra Vinh University (TVU) warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume, Director of the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation and Secretary General of the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation and the delegates on the working visit at TVU. TVU Vice Rector Vo Hoang Khai attended this meeting together with the participation of over 200 students of School of Odonto-Stomatology, TVU.

Delivering speech at the meeting, TVU Vice Rector Vo Hoang Khai said: “We are very honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume and the delegation on your working visit to TVU. We hope that faculty members and students of School of Odonto-Stomatology will be given opportunity for approaching advanced cleft palate treatment techniques.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume gave a presentation in the professional field in addition to an overview about Japanese culture and people.

“In order to approach advanced techniques in cleft palate, the university should collaboratively work with Japanese doctors and experts in this field. Meanwhile, TVU students should take Japanese courses as part in their training program so that they will be able to have a certain Japanese language proficiency to study and work in Japan” said Prof. Dr. Nagato Natsume.

Many questions by TVU students related to cleft palate treatment as well as opportunity for working and studying in Japan have been answered clearly at the meeting.

Do Thi Khuyen, a student of School of Odonto – Stomatology expressed: “This meeting is very beneficial for us all as we can gain more knowledge in our professional field. I hope that I will become a good doctor in order to help unlucky people with cleft palate.”
