Promote the launch of a network of supporting students to start their businesses in the Mekong Delta region

On July 14th, 19 universities and colleges in the Mekong Delta region held an online conference to collect ideas on launching the Network to support students to start their businesses in the Mekong Delta region.

At the conference, the representatives from many universities and colleges, including Tra Vinh University, Kien Giang University, An Giang University, Mien Tay Construction University, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long Branch, FPT University – Can Tho Campus, Tay Do University, Dong Thap University, Nam Can Tho University, Bac Lieu University, Kien Giang College, Soc Trang Community College, Tra Vinh Vocational College, Dong Khoi College, Southern College for Engineering and Agriculture, Ben Tre College, Can Tho Technical Economic College, Vinh Long College and Dong Thap Community College, discussed the cooperative agreement, regulations and direction for the operation in a term, and implementation plan for the Network.

After the 3-hour discussion, the universities and colleges have highly agreed on the forming and launching the Startup Supporting Network in the Mekong Delta region on September 23 and 24, 2021. The establishment of the Student Startup Supporting Network in the Mekong Delta aims to promote the spirit, knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship among students and alumni; build close relationships between universities and colleges by promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperative activities to improve the understanding and startup skills of students and alumni; develop the cooperation and the harmonious complementarity among network members to maximize the available resources in each institution, helping to support students and alumni in starting their businesses in the most favorable environment; and connect the members to carry out international projects and researches on innovative startups.
