(TVU) – The Student Startup Supporting Network in the Mekong Delta hosted a seminar on satellite models for student start-up support in the afternoon of November 12 at Tra Vinh University.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Niem, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Kien Giang Province; Mr. Trieu Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support in Ca Mau Province; Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University; leaders of Tra Vinh province; and representatives of member universities of the the Student Startup Supporting Network in the Mekong Delta attended the seminar.

Student entrepreneurship is increasing daily. Every university and college has a unique strategy for helping their students launch a business. The Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee and the TVU Board of Directors have been giving attention and support on student start-up assistance at Tra Vinh University. Numerous start-up support satellite models, including student cooperative models, club models, experimental company models, etc., have been developed in particular.
Attending the seminar, delegates heard about the student cooperative model and experimental business models at universities; “Realizing startup projects among students – A challenging journey”; club models; and satellite training model, universities are more and more perfect in supporting students to start a business.
Delegates who attended the seminar had a chance to share about “Realizing startup projects among students – A challenging journey”, the satellite training model, and club models, in addition to the student cooperative model and experimental business models at universities. Through exchanging information on how to support student start-up, universities are getting better at helping students establish their own businesses.

On this occasion, Tra Vinh University signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Science and Technology of the Kien Giang Province, the Investment Promotion and Business Support Center of the Ca Mau Province, and the DTS GROUP—Digital Transformation for SMEs in order to strengthen the cooperation relationship in support activities for startups in the future.
