Students of Tra Vinh University win 3 prizes at the Student Running Competition “S-Race 2023”

TVU – On August 12th, 2023, the delegation of athletes from Tra Vinh University, consisting of 10 students and 5 lecturers, participates in the Student Running Competition “S-Race 2023” in Da Lat City, Lam Dong province. Ms. Ngo Thi Minh, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, attends the event.

This year’s S-Race Student Running Competition attracts more than 4,800 students, teachers, and parents.

The delegation from Tra Vinh University participates in two events: the 1.5km women’s category and the 3km men’s category, achieving impressive results. Nguyen Thanh Phat, a student in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering course of 2022, achieves the Second Prize. Huynh Dang Khoa, a student in the Business Administration course of 2020, reaches the Third Prize. Pham Van Quyen, a student in the Laws course of 2021, wins the Fourth Prize.

  

The competition events in S-Race 2023 are divided into three age groups: secondary school students (11-14 years old), high school students (15-17 years old), and college and university students (18-23 years old). The competition distance is 3km for male college and university students, male high school students; 1.5km for male secondary school students, female college and university students, female high school students, and female secondary school students.

The expanded competition events of S-Race 2023 run in response to S-Race Family and in response to S-Race Teacher (for High School), a 3km male high school competition; 3km male college and university competition; 1.5km female secondary school competition; 1.5km male secondary school competition; 1.5km female high school competition; 1.5km female college and university competition; 3km male college and university competition. Besides, S-Race 2023 also has 2 events in response: S-Race Family with a distance of 1km for primary students and their families; S-Race Teacher distance of 1 km for secondary school students and teachers.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen, the Head of the Physical Education Department – School of Basic Sciences at Tra Vinh University, states that the S-Race competition is a valuable opportunity for students and lecturers to participate, exchange experiences in organizing competitions, and promote the friendly image of Tra Vinh University’s students and lecturers to the community.

S-Race is part of a series of school sports activities communication for the period of 2020 – 2025 by the Department of Physical Education (Ministry of Education and Training), Department for Sports Productions (Vietnam Television), TH Group, Unicomm Media Company (Unic), and Vietnam Athletics Federation.
