TVU – On September 9th, School of Economics and Law organizes a talk show Success with the Logistics and E-commerce industry in the era of technology 4.0″.

Attending the talk show, on the side of speakers were Mr. Pham Hung Tuoi, Director of Can Tho Customs Department, Ms. Bui Thi Anh Thu, Director of Winter Spring Food Company Limited in Singapore, Mr. Dang Thanh Tam, Head of MSG Packaging Factory Department, Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Mr. Ky Chi Tam, Former Marketing Director, Trung Son Pharma –Co-owner Cũ Cafe, 84 Kafe, Nang Architect.

On the side of Tra Vinh University are Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice-Rector of the School of Economics and Law, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Loan, Head of the Logistics Department, members and students of the School of Economics and Laws.

Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, said: In recent times, Tra Vinh University has achieved remarkable accomplishments, having many training programs achieving international accreditation such as AUN-QA, FIBAA, ABET,…., expanding its collaboration with businesses and international partners, enhancing infrastructure investment, and improving the quality of education,…. These are the driving forces for Tra Vinh University to continue fulfilling its mission of training high-quality human resources to meet the community’s demands.

In recent years, the logistics and e-commerce industry has shown remarkable attractiveness and development, creating numerous job opportunities for students and making positive contributions to the country’s socio-economic development. In response to market demands, Tra Vinh University takes the lead in training logistics and e-commerce, contributing to training high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.

At the program, the speakers share about the impact of logistics and e-commerce on the economy, the necessity of student skills for employer requirements, and the opportunities for the logistics and e-commerce industry to affirm its position and role in the digital technology era.

According to Mr. Pham Hung Tuoi, Director of Can Tho Customs Department, logistics plays a crucial role in the development of the market economy and enhances the competitive capacity of companies and enterprises. International organizations assess Vietnam and the Mekong Delta region which are potential markets for the development of logistics services and supply chains. He states that investments from the government in infrastructure development will create opportunities for the logistics sector to contribute to economic growth and generate abundant job opportunities for the workforce nationwide.

According to Mr. Ky Chi Tam, former Marketing Director of Trung Son Pharma Co-owner Cũ Cafe, 84 Kafe, Nắng Architect, logistics and e-commerce are two parallel and mutually influential fields. To ensure a unified and smooth operation of e-commerce, logistics plays a crucial role as a bridge impacting the development of e-commerce. Mr. Tam emphasizes that students need to focus on enhancing their knowledge within educational institutions to improve their professional competence and competitiveness in the era of industrial development. This is considered highly beneficial advice for all students standing at the threshold of the future.

Ms. Bui Thi Anh Thu, Director of Winter Spring Food Co., Ltd. in Singapore shared: In the context of today’s competitive international business activities, in addition to the requirements for capacity, professional skills can be learned at university, students need to improve foreign languages, communication skills, connection skills, self-study and adaptability skills, etc. This is considered a prerequisite for long-term survival and development in the field of logistics. 

On this occasion, the speakers specifically address the concerns of students about job positions at businesses, interview skills, the challenges of new fields, and valuable lessons on personal and professional development. These help students gain additional experience and get closer to the specific requirements of businesses before graduation.
