TVU – On January 26, 2024, Tra Vinh University organizes the closing round of the 2024 Mitsubishi Electric CUP (MECA) (School Round), with 7 competing teams.
At the 2024 MECA School Round there are 7 competing teams: EAGLE-DT team with members Nguyen Phuc Hau, Lam Quoc Kien, Le Thi Truc Ly and Mai Thien Nhan with the product “Prescription Drug Dispensing Machine”; FUTURE team with members Nguyen Minh Triet, Truong Tan Loc, Nguyen Hai Dang and Nguyen Hoai Phu with the product “Domestic Waste Sorting Machine”; GREEN-DREAM team with members Le Quoc Duong, Tong Minh Tri, Vo Thanh Linh and Pham Minh Khoi with the product “Smart Plant Nursery”; LOBSTECH team with members Nguyen Thi My Tien, Duong Tan Loc, Hua Van Quach Tinh and Ha Phuoc Loc with the product “Smart Shrimp Pond Parameter Monitoring System”; PTX-BV team with members Nguyen Danh Kha and Truong Thi Anh Thu with the product “Design and construction of a model for controlling and monitoring the strawberry environment in a greenhouse”; TVU-02 team with members Lam Huu Luong and Le Minh Hai with the product “Research and manufacture of an automatic sticky rice cake wrapping machine” and TVU KHONG MOT team with members Thach Mai and Chau Chi Nhan with the product “Research and manufacture of a seatbelt testing machine”.
The judging panel for the closing round consists of Dr. Pham Quoc Phong, Deputy Head of the School of Engineering and Technology (SET); Mr. Vo Duy Nhat, representative of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Bao An, Deputy Head of Information Technology Department; Mr. Nguyen Vu Luc, Deputy Head of Department of Mechanics – Dynamics; Mr. Le Minh Hai, Deputy Head of Department of Electrical – Electronics as members.
Dr. Pham Quoc Phong, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, said: The MECA contest encourages the movement of scientific research and creative science and technology of students while selecting the two best-performing teams to participate in the Mitsubishi Electric CUP (MECA) in 2024, organized by Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The First Prize belongs to team TVU-02 with members Lam Huu Luong and Le Minh Hai with the product “Research and manufacture of an automatic sticky rice cake wrapping machine”.
The Second Prize belongs to team FUTURE with members Nguyen Minh Triet, Truong Tan Loc, Nguyen Hai Dang and Nguyen Hoai Phu with the product “Domestic Waste Sorting Machine”.
The Third Prize belongs to team EAGLE-DT with members Nguyen Phuc Hau, Lam Quoc Kien, Le Thi Truc Ly and Mai Thien Nhan with the product “Prescription Drug Dispensing Machine”.
Team PTX-BV with members Nguyen Danh Kha and Truong Thi Anh Thu with the product “Design and construction of a model for controlling and monitoring the strawberry environment in a greenhouse” and team TVU KHONG MOT with members Thach Mai and Chau Chi Nhan with the product “Research and manufacture of a seatbelt testing machine” both receive Encouragement Prizes.
Sharing about the product “Research and manufacture of an automatic sticky rice cake wrapping machine”, team TVU-02 said: The machine applies MITSUBISHI PLC programming to control the system, design HMI screen interface, use MITSUBISHI motors together with encoders and control Servo Motors with Drivers operating accurately. The advantages of the machine are improving productivity, high-quality products, saving labor costs, easy operation, food safety and hygiene, and a fast cake wrapping time of 60 seconds per product.
