The opening ceremony of sports festival to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

TVU – On the morning of October 29, Tra Vinh University held a traditional sports festival to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2022) and to celebrate The 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Tra Vinh province, term 2022 – 2027.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Dương Thị Yến Nhi, Standing Member, Head of School Children’s Committee – Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Vũ An, Secretary of the Youth Union; Mr. Phạm Lê Phương Thảo, Standing Member of the Provincial Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, President of TVU’s Student Union; The Executive Board of TVU’s Student Union and representatives of TVU’s units.

 

The festival took place from October 29 to November 18, 2022, and has attracted more than 400 athletes from units under the Youth Union – Student Union participating in competitions including Football; Volleyball; Badminton; Mobile Union Tournament, and Bodybuilding.

The sports festival is organized to discover and foster talented factors and key sports athletes for Tra Vinh University.

This is an activity to create a healthy and helpful playground as well as to promote the spirit of sport among students of Tra Vinh University. The Secretary of the Youth Union believes that with the competitive spirit of “Sports – Solidarity – Honesty – Noble” of the athletes, the tournaments of the sports festival will take place successfully.

Huỳnh Minh Nhựt, a student of the School of Economics and Law, expressed his excitement when participating in the festival. He is determined to compete to the best of his ability to bring the audience the most attractive and thrilling match, contributing to the success of this year’s sports festival.

The first match of the male and female student football tournament was successfully held with the competition between the School of Medicine and Pharmacy and the School of Education.
