The scientific workshop “Judicial reform implemented according to Resolution No.27-NQ/TW”

TVU – On June 22, 2023, the Economics and Law Faculty at Tra Vinh University holds a scientific workshop titled “Judicial Reform in Building a State of Rule of Law according to Resolution No.27-NQ/TW”.

The workshop aims to promote the faculty’s scientific activities, improve the quality of education within the university, and strengthen the exchange and sharing of scientific and academic knowledge among scientists, lecturers, students, and scholars.

Attending the workshop are Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Do – Former Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court, Former Chief Judge of the Central Military Court, Former Deputy of the 12th-13th National Assembly, Member of the Advisory Board for the implementation of Resolution 27 by the Central Committee, Advisor of the School of Economics and Law at Tra Vinh University; MA. Pham Thanh Phong, Director of the Legal Aid Center of Tra Vinh Province; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Ha, Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Dalat University.

Representing Tra Vinh University is Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice-Rector of the School of Economics and Law, along with the staff and lecturers from the School of Law and Economics, as well as students who currently work in governmental agencies, businesses within and outside the province, and students from the School of Economics and Law.

In her opening speech, Dr. Huynh Thi Truc Linh, Vice Rector of the School of Economics and Law, at Tra Vinh University, states that the workshop provides an opportunity to listen to the opinions of experts, researchers, and lecturers through presentations, thus clarifying theoretical and practical issues, making recommendations, proposing viewpoints, and providing fundamental solutions for judicial reform. This contributes to the construction and improvement of the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam while addressing current research challenges.

During the workshop, the participants focus on analyzing, clarifying, and interpreting a wide range of presentations related to the construction and improvement of the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam according to Resolution No.27-NQ/TW. They also engage in discussions and address questions raised by the staff, lecturers, and students regarding judicial reform, which contributes to the construction and improvement of the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam during the current period.

The workshop features 3 presentations: “Continuing Judicial Reform in Building and Improving the Socialist Rule of Law State in Vietnam” by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Do; “Some Recommendations to Improve Administrative Judicial Enforcement according to the Spirit of Resolution No.27-NQ/TW” by Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Ha from the Faculty of Law, Dalat University; and “Orientation and Solutions of the Department of Justice to Effectively Implement Resolution No.27-NQ/TW” by MA. Pham Thanh Phong, Director of the Legal Aid Center of Tra Vinh Province.
