TVU – At the end of April 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, President of the University Council – Tra Vinh University, presided over the second meeting for discussing and approving several vital points for the 2021-2025 term.
Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee and Mr. Tran Hoan Kim, Chairman of the University Advisory Council attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh said that the establishment of the University Council is to comply with the provisions of the revised 2019 Law on Higher Education to orient and develop Tra Vinh University into one of the advanced universities in the world. Accordingly, the University Council operates according to the principles of supervision and orientation to Tra Vinh University.
Some key issues discussed and approved include the regulations of organizational, operational, financial and democratic affairs of Tra Vinh University; personnel introduction to vital positions of the university; and other vital issues such as continuing to improve the educational quality of the university for the international accreditation.
“Tra Vinh University is eligible to develop towards an international university model”, emphasized Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh. Therefore, this is one of the important points included in the strategic plan for the period 2021- 2025.
