(TVU) – On the evening of November 19, the performance program for the 35th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Tra Vinh University with the participation of more than 500 students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh-TVU Rector, TVU staff, faculty members and other distinguished guests attended this event.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Trong, TVU Vice Rector gave his best wishes to all faculty members and students on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, 20 November and left a message to students and staff in developing the university youth activities.

“The prize-awarded singing and football competitions have been taking place during four days attracting over one thousand students with 200 original singing and dancing performances.” said Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, TVU Youth Union Deputy Secretary.
The performances this year were quite diverse in kinds and contents, which contributed to the success of the evening performance, creating a dynamic atmosphere for students.
Nguyen Ngoc Dang, student of course-2017 veterinary major expressed: “I feel very happy to join the celebration of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day at Tra Vinh University and enjoy various interesting and exciting performances.”
On this occasion, the Marine Institute of Memorial of Newfoundland awarded 05 scholarships worth CAD 200/each, Prof. Vo Van Truong and the Foundation De la Chenelière awarded 08 scholarships worth 300 CAD/each for students with difficult family situations who Home had excellent results in study.
