The symposium aims to progress towards forming the Student Cooperative Federation in universities and colleges

TVU – On the morning of September 28th, 2023, the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Tra Vinh University participates in a symposium titled “The Model of Student Cooperative, Towards the Formation of the Student Cooperative Federation in Colleges and Universities” in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Creative Student Village – TechfestVN and Tra Vinh University organizes at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and online via Zoom. The symposium attracts the participation of over 50 delegates and leaders, officials, and experts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation from universities and colleges nationwide.

During the symposium, delegates exchange presentations on topics, models, and solutions for the formation and development of a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in universities and colleges. Through these discussions, the aim is to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem and enhance the quality of activities in universities and colleges regarding the current model of student cooperatives.

Representing Tra Vinh University, Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Tra Vinh Business Incubator and Director of the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Tra Vinh University, presents a topic on “Student Cooperative Model in Colleges and Universities.” Additionally, Ms. Le Thi Hong Rang, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at TVU, has a presentation about a proposal for the establishment of the Federation of Student Cooperatives in Colleges and Universities. These presentations have received significant attention from the delegates.

According to Mr. Thai Doan Thanh, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the implementation of student cooperatives and the creation of an entrepreneurial training environment provide students with opportunities to apply their acquired knowledge in practical settings, unleash their creativity, and cultivate a sense of responsibility in their work. It also helps them develop skills, create employment opportunities, and generate income.

During this event, universities and colleges exchange experiences, address challenges, discuss operational solutions for student cooperative models, promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and enhance the quality of innovation and startup activities. The ultimate goal is to establish a federation of student cooperatives in colleges and universities.
