(TVU) – On November 29, the Tzu Chi Foundation in Vietnam and the volunteers from Tzu Chi University of Taiwan visit and award 06 scholarships to students of Tra Vinh University with the total amount of about VND 50 million. 
At the Scholarship Awards Ceremony, there is attendance of many leaders from Youth Union, Student Union, Trade Union, faculties, departments, and centers of the university along with the participation of more than 300 students of Tra Vinh University and volunteers of Tzu Chi University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lam Hien Quan, representative of Tzu Chi Foundation wished that these scholarships would partly help the university students overcome their difficulties. He hoped students would achieve great results to deserve the hearts and expectations of their parents, their teachers as well as the volunteers from Tzu Chi University.
Ms. Quach Thi Vu Hue, Chairwoman of the University’s Trade Union, highly appreciated the precious affection of Tzu Chi Foundation and Tzu Chi University volunteers for Tra Vinh University students. She hoped that in the upcoming time, Tzu Chi Foundation would accompany, encourage and help many students of Tra Vinh Unversity overcome problems so that they could have more strengths and confidence to integrate and study better to become a helpful citizen for the community and society.
Being received a scholarship from Tzu Chi Foundation, Duong Thi Diem, a student of English Language D of the course 2019, shared that: “I have appreciated all university’s teachers, benefactors, and the volunteers from Tzu Chi University for giving me a chance to continue to study. Thanks to this scholarship, I can make my dream become true in near future. I will try my best to study harder and become a good person for the community and society.”
