In the morning of February 2nd, 2012, TVU solemnly welcomed Prof. Dr. Brian Dick, Chair, Department of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy, Vancouver Island University, Canada.
Prof. Dr. Brian Dick was welcomed by Dr. PhamTiet Khanh- Rector of TVU, the two Vice Rectors of TVU: Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung and Ms. Thach Thi Dan and other heads of TVU offices.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Brian Dick met and dicussed with heads of offices and departments to have an agrement on his work plan at TVU from February 2nd to April 24th, 2012. He said that he would support TVU with his knowledge of major. Specifically, he would give some lectures for students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology and helping the faculty in evaluating the teaching ability of lecturers in the faculty; he also coordinated with the Center of Teaching and Learning in organzing some workshops on teaching.
On behalf of TVU Rector Board, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Brian Dick and Vancouver Island University have enthusiastically supported TVU in recent years. He emphasized that this working time at TVU of Prof. Dr. Brian Dick would be meaningful and TVU would create all favorable conditions for him during his time at TVU.
