(TVU) – Tra Vinh is a western province surrounded by Co Chien and Hau rivers, with one side facing the sea. After 30 years of re-establishment, the face of Tra Vinh province in economic, cultural, and social life has changed a lot, and life quality has improved. Besides, TVU has achieved many successes. In addition to training 55 undergraduate majors, the school has 27 master’s degrees, 10 doctoral degrees, and 05 specialized training disciplines at level 1: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Odonto-Stomatology.

TRA VINH UNIVERSITY IS BREAKING THROUGH INTERNATIONAL INTEGRAL 

TVU focuses on improving training quality and breaking through international integration in training, research, and international cooperation activities, ensuring the quality of international education programs.

Tra Vinh University is one of the top universities in the Mekong Delta that have many international education accredited programs, according to the standards of AUN-QA, FIBAA, ABET, and 13 programs that have accredited the international quality of education. Among those, 05 training programs that meet international education standards AUN-QA are: Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine under the School of Agriculture and Fisheries; Nursing of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy; Khmer language belongs to the School of Southern Khmer Language, Culture and Arts. 07 FIBAA international education accreditation programs: Business Administration; Economy; Law, Accounting and Finance and Banking, Master of Business Administration, Master of Economic Management from School of Economics – Law; The information technology major of the School of Engineering and Technology has accredited ABET. Plus, TVU is expanding AUN, ABET, and FIBAA international education accreditation for the rest of the University’s majors.

The school focuses on developing human resources for regional economic development in energy, electricity, ports, fisheries, agriculture to adapt to climate change, health sciences, engineering – technology, economy, tourism, biotechnology, environmental management, etc. TVU also promotes international cooperation in training and expanding the transporting of students to work in nursing, engineering, technology, agriculture, animal husbandry, culture, tourism, etc. The school has linked with enterprises inside and outside the province to conduct training, expanding the Coop training program – The specific training model of Tra Vinh University.

The school expands its training in the direction of diverse languages ​​such as English, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc., helping students to find job opportunities domestically and internationally.

Many policies towards learners: a 100% tuition fee reduction policy for pedagogy students, performing traditional musical instruments; granting special incentive scholarships for female students studying engineering and technology (equivalent to 50% of the full course fee); scholarships from sponsors for students who overcome difficulties; scholarships to encourage students with good performance; support students in start-up loans as well as implement policies for poor, ethnic minority students, political students, and students in disadvantaged groups.

TVU is also a place for scientific research and start-up ideas, and a place to connect students with businesses. The University also strives to create jobs for students, focussed on developing the invention space, developing research groups – IEEE Student Chapter at TVU, student cooperative models, farmer associations, together with policies to encourage the start-up ideas, applied scientific research, and technology transfer to serve the community.

Tra Vinh University Hospital, general clinic, and maxillofacial treatment area are taking good care of the community’s health. The School of Khmer Language, Culture, and Art in the South performs national key tasks, trains human resources to meet the demand of ethnic communities, and has many good policies for learners. The 24/7 Learning Resource Center is an ideal destination for students with spacious space, an air conditioning system, a rich source of books, and a computer system connected to the Internet. Besides, the center provides a free library of digitized study materials, books, and magazines domestically and internationally. The dormitory is located inside the campus, green, clean, and safe. It has a capacity of 3,500 seats. Students can feel secure living and studying on campus.

According to the WURI Ranking (the system that ranks worldwide universities), TVU is ranked 71st in the Top 100 of WURI Ranking 2021. society; ranked 17th (up 07 places); in the Top 50 in value of entrepreneurship and innovation; ranked 48th in the Top 50 for international student exchange and cooperation, student exchange opportunities between foreign educational institutions.

For many years in a row, TVU has been in the top 200 sustainable and friendly green universities, according to UI GreenMetric rankings. The school has also applied an effective quality management system, meeting ISO 9001-2000 standards in 2006, ISO 9001-2008, and ISO 9001-2015.
