Tra Vinh University achieves outstanding digital transformation award for third consecutive year

(TVU) – On the afternoon of October 5 at the Military Broadcasting Center (Hanoi), the Vietnam Digital Communications Association and VietTimes e-Magazine present the Vietnam Digital Awards 2024, honoring 19 products, services, and solutions, along with 15 businesses and public service units, and 11 government agencies for their outstanding digital transformation achievements.

This annual award, sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications and organized by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association and VietTimes e-Magazine, aims to recognize exceptional digital transformation achievements by government agencies, public service units, businesses, and individuals who have contributed to advancing the national digital transformation initiative.

According to the organizing committee, nearly 400 applications were submitted for this year’s awards, including entries from ward and commune-level units, universities, high schools, and individuals. The awards honor four categories: Outstanding Digital Transformation in Government Agencies; Outstanding Digital Transformation in Businesses and Public Service Units; Notable Digital Transformation Products, Services, and Solutions; and Digital Transformation Products and Solutions for Community Benefit.

This year, Tra Vinh University continues to receive the award for outstanding digital transformation for public service units. This marks the third consecutive year the university has won in this category. Specifically, the university is recognized for its solution: Upgrading the TMS Ver2 system, managing science and technology, and synchronizing MS Teams and TVU Mobile.

At Tra Vinh University, the application of information technology and digital transformation contributes to improving the quality of teaching and learning, enhancing the effectiveness of the database system and digital learning resources. The university organizes numerous training programs on digital transformation knowledge and develops E-learning lessons to support continuous improvement in student learning. Additionally, digitizing various documents and files and storing materials in cyberspace improve the quality of teaching, learning, and scientific research activities.

In 2022, Tra Vinh University was honored with the Outstanding Digital Transformation Award (Vietnam Digital Awards – VDA, 2022) for its “Human Resources and Training Management System, Soft Skills Training Management System, and System for Supporting Program Learning Outcomes Assessment to Improve Training Quality.”

In 2023, the university was awarded three solutions: an Official Document Management and Staff Task Monitoring System integrated with the Student Dormitory Management System; a Human Resources, Training, Finance, and Asset Management System with a mobile application; and an E-learning Course Evaluation Training Management System for Lecturers (CDS).

The Vietnam Digital Awards (VDA) 2024 is an annual Vietnam Digital Communications Association award sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications, first organized in 2018. It is one of the proactive activities supporting the Politburo’s Resolution on policies for active participation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision towards 2030, as outlined by the Government.
