TVU – On November 7th, Tra Vinh University (TVU) held a seminar on international training cooperation to improve the effectiveness of international training cooperation and contribute to the implementation of the sustainable development goals of the University.
Assoc attended the seminar. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, representatives of leaders of TVU’s units, lecturers, and experts in international education.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice-Rector, emphasized the vital role of international cooperation in developing the University. “International cooperation is not only a factor that helps improve the quality of training but also an important tool to position the brand of Tra Vinh University. The goal is not to seek new sources of income but to build the image of a young, dynamic university and promote cooperation with international partners,” the Vice-Rector shared.
Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, Deputy Director of the International Training Institute of Tra Vinh University, shared the current situation and solutions to improve the effectiveness of international training cooperation. According to Dr. Nguyen Huy Thong, one of the essential goals in the coming time is to increase enrollment in English-language training programs to meet students’ international study and internship needs.
At the seminar, Dr. Chau Thi Hoang Hoa, Head of the Project Promotion Department and director of Tra Vinh King Sejong Institute, shared the topic of “Making English the teaching language at Tra Vinh University.”
The delegates discussed and shared international cooperation plans in the coming years. International study and research programs will create many opportunities for students and lecturers to exchange, learn, and improve the quality of training.
